Workshops

I share my passion for film and image making through various workshop offerings. In my eco-processing workshops, I share knowledge that I learned from my mentor, Lisa Marr. Workshop guests create a non-toxic film developer made from coffee and other culinary ingredients and use this developer to process super 8, 35mm, and 120 film. These workshops are a mediation on rethinking the toxic nature of darkroom chemistry, as well as the toxic history of the photography and filmmaking industries.

I also teach cyanotype printmaking workshops, conduct presentations about the Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony, and screen my short films in community spaces and educational institutions. I believe through small acts of experimentation, we can imagine new possibilities for nourishing, sustainable ways of being with one another and our environment.
